I have finally branched out into collecting other compact toys in conjunction with my Polly Pocket collection. Shopkins was highly recommended, so here it is! I absolutely LOVE them. They're all gorgeous and the characters have the signature Polly hinge. Let's take a look at all 15 of them in detail.
One of the complaints that people have about the modern Polly Pockets is they're not as detailed as the vintage ones. No one can beat the original Polly, but I decided to try my hand at painting one of the new ones to give it more detail. I've always wanted to try this but was afraid of messing up and ruining it. But spoiler alert...it turned out pretty dope! Be on the lookout for more Polly Pocket repaints!

This is the 1994 Star Bright Dinner Party vintage Polly Pocket, aka Candy Box! It's a gorgeous compact with a big yellow bow set in a chic high-end apartment. The lights are super bright and give this set a romantic look.

The 1996 Jewel Magic Ball by Bluebird is my favorite toy of all time. It was the first one I bought for my vintage Polly Pocket collection. It’s a gorgeous, shiny crystal ball filled with coins and jewels. It can probably see into the future, too!
Lime Crime released Polly Pocket makeup a while back called Pocket Candy and I had to have them for my toy collection. The palettes are: Birthday Cake, Sugar Plum, Bubblegum, and Pink Lemonade. I swatched the eyeshadows and created a soft pink look with them.
