✨SHOWCASE✨ Vintage Polly Pocket: Sparkling Mermaid Adventure Storybook (1995)
One of the most iconic and memorable vintage Polly Pockets is the Sparkling Mermaid Adventure storybook. It’s one of the book-shaped compacts that Mattel released in the 90s.
There were several other book Pollies, but this particular one is the biggest. It also lights up!
I can’t even begin to describe how gorgeous it is. It’s covered in glitter which makes it even more beautiful.
The mermaid characters are also gorgeous. Instead of legs, the little dolls have mermaid tails. They’re all wearing shiny jewelry too.
I’m a tad bitter though because the seller I bought this from didn’t disclose the fact that it was missing the coral arch that goes in the second level.
So, I had to craft my own out of polymer clay. It ended up working well enough!
It’s even more beautiful when the lights are on in the dark. The bioluminescence is mesmerizing.
