Lime Crime released Polly Pocket inspired makeup called Pocket Candy and I’m deceased.

Since my collection is fairly new, I just recently heard about this even though they released these a while ago. It speaks for itself. The makeups look like Polly Pocket compact toys.

The dead giveaway is the big, adorable bow that’s similar to the Happenin’ Hair line. Lime Crime also styled their logo similarly to a Polly Pocket logo.

Luckily, Ulta was selling the iridescent palette called Birthday Cake on their website. The others, Bubble Gum, Sugar Plum, and Pink Lemonade, I had to buy on eBay. I was able to get them in brand new and unused condition.

I swatched each palette on my hand and to be honest, I wasn’t in it for the makeup quality. I was in it for my collection. I wasn’t that impressed with the colors upon swatching them, especially the fact that most of them were highlighters.

Realistically though, you wouldn’t put eyeshadow on your hands. You’d put them on, well, your eyes. I created a soft Valentine’s Day look using the pinks in the palettes.

I surprisingly loved the end result! The highlighters were very sheer and the color’s pigment shows more with eyeshadow primer.

But that’s enough playing with makeup for now because I don’t want to ruin these palettes. I was scared to even dip into them. All that matters is they look gorgeous displayed with the rest of my Polly Pocket collection.
