This is the first video in a new series I want to start: Repainting Polly Pockets!

Specifically, the modern Polly Pockets. I don’t think I have the heart to paint over the vintage ones!

Since the reboot, people (myself included) have been complaining that the new Pollies don’t quite hold a candle to the old ones. They lack detail, aren’t as pretty, and just generally aren’t that interesting.

So I had the idea of repainting the modern Pollies to give them more detail, though I don’t want to outright claim that they’ll be as good as the originals. Vintage Polly still holds my heart.

Starting with Lil’ Princess Pad from the Hidden Hideouts series, I used acrylic paints to repaint the whole thing. Nothing fancy, just some cheap tools and my imagination.

I absolutely love how it turned out! I was actually worried I wouldn’t be able to do it or that I would mess up and have to rebuy it.

Overall, I’m super happy with it and I had fun doing it! I’m excited to repaint all the other ones in my collection.
